A local court in Meerut has convicted four individuals in connection with a murder case from 2022, sentencing them to life imprisonment along with a total fine of ₹48,000, as confirmed by a senior police official.
The police representative stated that the case is linked to the Kithaur police station area. According to the complaint filed by Manoj Giri, a resident of Parikshitgarh, on June 7, 2022, Tushar Bhati, Prince, Ankur, and Gullu alias Aniket attacked his son Tarun Giri with sticks, resulting in his death.
Following the arrest of the accused, the police gathered substantial evidence during the investigation and subsequently filed a charge sheet against the defendants in court. After a well-coordinated prosecution effort, Additional District and Sessions Judge Alok Dwivedi found the accused guilty, sentencing them to life imprisonment under Section 302 (murder), a fine of ₹10,000, one year of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹1,000 under Section 323 (assault), and an additional year of rigorous imprisonment with a ₹1,000 fine under another section.
